Chathuranga is an artist who holds Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and Bachelor of Law (LLB) Degree. He takes a different path from other artists by organizing many international Art programs and collaborations through his vision of "Taking Asian Art talents to the international forums". He also has given up his Corporate Management and Legal careers and has devoted his time fully into Art.
He has participated in Indo-Sri Lanka Artist Exchange Program held in Bali, Indonesia 2019 and represented Sri Lanka in the 18th Asian Art Biennale in 2018 and has also represented Sri Lanka in the same event in 2016, 2014 and 2003. He has been selected to the exhibit his work in Amsterdam International Art Exhibition in 2017 with the participation of 60 counties. He was also selected to exhibit in Oxford International Art Exhibition 2018 and 2017 in the UK. Apart from these international Art exhibitions, he has also held many solo and group exhibitions in Sri Lanka and has been awarded with many national and international accolades for his work.
He says, "I use the power of colors to express my thoughts and feeling in painting. I create layers of colors to make the final output of my paintings. My objective in painting is to develop the thinking capacity and mind of the viewers. So far I have succeeded in creating paintings with multiple views and thoughts. From Sri Lanka to counties like Thailand. Taiwan, Japan, Bangladesh, United Kingdom and Australia are some of the remarkable destinations where my Art is still living."
