Neleisha is largely a self-taught artist from
Sri Lanka and she is drawn to the simple and natural surroundings of my
beautiful country. She often use a painterly approach which highlights her love
of texture and mark making. For her, everything she tries to paint comes to
life when she push thick paint around with a knife on her painting surface.
This is a consistent approach in Neleisha's painting process in which she tries
to give importance to often the most mundane and simple things.
Neleisha's paintings have often been described as being "Evocative, Aesthetically Beautiful and Expressive".
